March 11-13 Box Office Contest Finalists

The Batman

As a 12 year-old kid in 1989, I balanced my cinematic worship time between the churches of Steven Spielberg with INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE and Tim Burton with BATMAN. In the 90’s, Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino joined the fray with GOODFELLAS and PULP FICTION. In the 21st century, I continue to be a Christopher Nolan acolyte thanks to THE DARK KNIGHT trilogy.

Thank Christ that Matt Reeves picked up right where Nolan left off with a phenomenally dark take on the caped crusader that didn’t pull a single punch by respecting the audience’s intelligence and love for The Dark Knight and his rogues gallery of villains.

Proving that his THE PLANET OF THE APES trilogy wasn’t a fluke, Reeves delivered another massive box office win with THE BATMAN dominating the March 11-13 box office weekend with $66.5 million.

FlickWish would like to congratulate our following finalists:

Brett Nolan Lunenburg, MA THE BATMAN
Caleb McCarthy Derry, NH THE BATMAN
Kevin Barry Ayer, MA THE BATMAN
Kyle Nolan North Chelmsford, MA THE BATMAN
Megan Lawrence Vassalboro, ME THE BATMAN
